^{강화학습은 기계학습의 한 분야로써, 주어진 환경에서 에이전트의 연속적 행동을 통해 최대의 이득을 얻는 행동 정책(policy)을 찾는 것을 목표로 하며, 자율주행자동차에서도 강화학습 기술은 다양하게 응용되고 있다. 최근 강화학습에서는 가치함수 없이 최적 정책을 바로 추정하는 정책 기반 기술 연구가 진행되고 있는데, 본 과목에서는 강화학습을 위한 정책 기반 기술로써 다양한 정책 경사 기술의 원리를 이해하고 자율주행 기술에서의 성능을 분석한다.}

^{As one of the main areas of machine learning, reinforcement learning aims to search a policy that maximizes the overall gain through a series of actions in a given environment, and the reinforcement learning is applied to various improvements of self-driving. Since the policy-based methods that estimate the optimal policy without value functions are studied in the recent reinforcement learning, we study the principles and analyze the performance of various policy gradient techniques for policy-based methods in the self-driving cars.}
